1,000 Tropos ABLE XR Units to be Deployed to Help Food-Service Industry

February 10th, 2021

Los Angeles – Tropos Technologies, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based company specializing in producing all-electric compact utility vehicles (eCUVs), announced today that it has entered into a strategic alliance with BIB Technologies in a deal worth $25,000,000. Both companies are committed to deploying 1,000 specialized (Automato) vehicle units over the next 36 months to help restaurants affected by the COVID-19 pandemic get back up and running. “The Tropos platform is an excellent fit for us. We now have the assurance to expand our reach across the world. We’ve been working with Tropos, from time to time for years. To make our partnership official is fantastic. There are many platforms to choose from, but their technologies, continued improvements, and adapting to the times is critical for us to grow – not just fast – but in the right direction.” said Deloss Pickett, the founder of BIB Technologies.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, BIB Technologies Inc. is a Delaware corporation that provides network systems using data and technologies. (“BIB”) BIB Technologies introduced the “Automato”, a proprietary mobile IoT food locker vehicle based on an all-electric small utility truck or ESV. The Automato by BIB is the first temperature-controlled IoT mobility hub locker to market, using clean energy as its only power source. The Automato by BIB extends value to the Tropos product, contributing an additional feature set to its eco-platform by supplementing IoT delivery, reinforcing sustainability, mobility, and advanced logistics. By utilizing BIB’s self- powered Automato dispensing system and integrated software, the two companies will move commercial kitchens off-grid by placing them in parking lots with its partnership in Kitchen Podular and using Automato as a hot/cold-delivery runner or grab-and-go kiosks for the cities they serve worldwide.

Tropos is an industry-leading innovator in the EV space and has advanced manufacturing and engineering facilities in the Bay Area of California and Germany, allowing for rapid worldwide growth. Their vehicle line includes the Tropos ABLE™ XR model — designed with superior battery technology and range to handle large payloads, travel over 100 miles, and carry heavy loads. Tropos can provide BIB Technologies their battery technologies and up to 300 of their chassis per month. This ensures a guaranteed deliverable platform to BIB and its vendors. As both companies scale-up amidst the (COVID-19) pandemic, the Tropos-BIB partnership provides incredible synergy by creating reliable new sources to help small businesses and major brands find new roads to travel.
